State of Indiana awarded NHTSA Region 5 Excellence in Highway Safety Award

Open Portal Solutions congratulates the State of Indiana for being awarded the 2009 NHTSA Region 5 Excellence in Highway Safety Award. The honor is presented for extraordinary efforts to advance traffic records systems.
The standardization of input and the immediate feedback featured in Open Portal Solution’s NE Web Portal (ARIES) has contributed to complete, accurate and timely data being available to all traffic safety partners. Access to reports and statistics is provided to INDOT, ICJI, BMV and local metropolitan planning organizations.
In 2009, 99.3% of all crash reports were electronically submitted to the Indiana State Police using the NE Crash application.
Our team at OPS is proud to have played a part in helping Indiana develop an award winning traffic records system that makes roads safer. Congratulations!

We’re finalizing our contract with the state of Georgia to implement NE Crash as their statewide electronic collision reporting tool. They’re really going at this the right way – putting all the pieces in place to ensure success. With NE Crash, NE Portal and BuyCrash.com, they’re going to have the most robust, easy-to-use, complete system in the country!
Spoke to Norm Cressman (Safety Program Manager, GDOT Office of Traffic Safety Design) today to set up a kick-off meeting for early October. Great conversation – he shared that he’s excited to work with us because we “get it.” When Georgia was looking for the best choice for their collision reporting system, he came across plenty of companies that had functional software and could sell crash reports…but when he spoke with us, he found that we understand their data needs. We’re in this together. Instead of just selling collision reports, we really help them get the most out of their data.
Hearing that gets me even more pumped about Georgia – and taking our solutions into every state. We’ve always viewed our clients as partners in success. It’s great to know that our clients view it the same!
